Egypt's Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk announced a significant increase in public sector salaries starting July 1, 2025, as part of the 2025/2026 budget. The budget also includes plans to hire 75,000 teachers, 30,000 doctors, and 10,000 additional government employees, with total wage allocations rising by 18.1% to EGP 679.1 billion.
